Safe

Tue Aug 19, 2008, 6:31 PM
If there is one word that I've heard people describe my work, it would be "safe". Not entirely boring, but not entirely edgy enough. So now I ask myself...is it the fact that I'm not releasing my full artistic potential or is it that this is just my style? When I look at my pieces, I see simplicity. But I also see lots of room for improvement.
What makes a piece of work "edgy" anyways without it going mainstream? What makes one artist's personal expression their own?

I myself am not a creative person, BUT if I work long & hard enough I too can come up with something equally as great. [link]
